About

Gideon Yellin is a guitarist, composer and producer from Montreal, Quebec. In Gideon’s formative years he had the opportunity to partake in intensive weekend seminars on music theory and performance with Jon Damian of the Berklee College of Music and Steve Groves of the Ottawa Guitar School as well as attend master classes on composition and improvisation with musicians such as Alex Skolnick and Seamus Blake.

Over the years Gideon has performed in projects emphasizing original compositions or as a session player for artists at festivals like Ottawa Jazz Fest, Montreal Pride, Ottawa Bluesfest and the Montreal Fringe Festival.

Gideon is also no stranger to the theatre world with over a decades experience providing music for productions both classical and contemporary. In addition to producing independant shows with his own company Urban Aria credits include work with Bishops University, Jubilee Theatre, Raise The Stakes Theatre, Le Nouveau International, The Borderline Players, Bridge Theatre, and more in roles such as musical director, band leader, ensemble player, accompanist, composer, arranger or soloist.

Currently Gideon focuses on guitar, writing music, being a session player, recording engineer, producer and playing lead as a regular member of Graven.

I am always looking for new exciting collaborations. Please don’t be shy to get in touch!
